I've found what appears to be exactly the kind of armoire I've been looking for on craigslist, but I have no idea if the price is reasonable or not and would appreciate any insight or guidance someone can give me.

It has a plate that is stamped with what I've read is the British Standard logo along with the words "licence no. 2067" (and yes, license is spelled with a "c" in the image, which is attached).  The piece looks absolutely gorgeous in the photos, is four feet wide, and the seller wants $300 for it.  My friends are shocked and tell me I can find an armoire for much less which I know I can, but the question is "is particular piece worth $300"?

Many thanks.
 :)

Yes, need to see pictures of the piece itself!  Look forward to it.
I'm from the South - but please don't mistake my Southern Manners/Accent/Charm as a weakness!

The British Standard mark is similar to our UL stamp which means that it is made with quality and safety according to their standards !!  However it does not either add or reduce value !!  Just means its well made !!  The value is determined on style and its popularity, condition, ect !!
