Hi guys, help me if you don't mind. I bought this desk about 5 years ago. I liked it then, now not as much. Anyway, I was thinking of selling it and I don't think it's worth that much, but do y'all know any info on it  as far as style, time period, etc. I don't even know if it's vintage or not. Thanks

It looks like a 1920s-40s version of a Renaissance Revival kneehole desk. I can't tell what the principle wood is because the pictures are so dark, but the secondary wood on the drawers looks like pine. The dovetails are machined. The whole desk may have  a spray-on finish to mimic walnut, or it may be walnut or mahogany.

It looks like a good, solid desk and you may get $150-$200 from the right buyer. Ask more so you can negotiate down. Unfortunately, even though it appears to be a solid piece, mid-century dark furniture is not selling so well these days.

I thought the dovetails were done by machine, but that was my only thought lol. I did not think it would be even that old, but then again, I don't know much about vintage and antiques (except that I like them). Thank you bunches for the info.

I don't think the wood is an expensive wood, I could be wrong. The drawer front seem to be some type of different material that is attached to wood. I'll send you some pics.

Interesting top looks like it had an inset for a desk pad or inset? (It is edged with a higher piece of wood which would make it difficult to use as a desk.)

In the 1st picture, ..... the drawer front with the "dovetails" looks to be made of plywood.

Yes, it looks like the top was designed to have a removable blotter. The grain on the top looks like walnut, though I'm again leaning towards a spray-on walnut finish or thin veneer for most of the desk. Looks more like 1940s.
