shattered beyond repair

 I just dropped and shattered my Indian Tree serving bowl into a dozen or more pieces.
 
At least it was only $15.00, and not a Ming Dynasty vase.
Still makes me angry with myself, though.

Hey, don't beat yourself up. Here at Casa GHopper, we plan on losing about one article per year. Stuff happens. All you can hope for is that, like yours, the item isn't too valuable!

I have had more "butter fingers" the last two years than I care to remember.  Always seems to be something that holds family memories rather than a modern thing that I brake.  I did find  and purchased from eBay a smaller version of a vase I broke.  Although, it not my mother's it makes me think of her every time I look at it.

The saddest one happened to my mom last year.  My grandmother passed away and all things were divided up among siblings (an uncle lived with her and got all the daily items n home.)  Being a very practical rancher she didn't have many lavish things but did have a large glass trophy handled compote/centerpiece that my mom remembers admiring over the years and she got it.

One day my mom heard a loud crash and ran into the dining room to see that the hanger on her large /heaving painting had failed and fallen on the top of the credenza.  The only thing broken (and into many pieces I might add) was...you guessed it...the treasured glass piece.

(Similar to this one in looks but not the same and much larger.  I never found out who made it.)
