Hmmm...most shaving mugs had the strainer built inside of them or they were built scuttle style.  BUT would be truly unusual to have feet!  Because of the chance of tipping/turning over would be so great you typically see a round/square solid base. 

However, after WWII they made all kinds of novel items to sell, sell, sell.

The one below is a raised flower shaving mug...but solid base

I'll have to do more research on the lady's shaving mug, like rauville said.
That seems to be the closest example to what I have.
My piece doesn't have a lid like the RS Prussia piece, but that doesn't mean it never had one when new.

I zoomed in on the maker's mark on the bottom.
It's unreadable, but I thought perhaps somebody might recognize the general shape of it.

Go back to page 1 and look at the number 3 pic !!  Don`t look at the cup itself,,look at the pic you posted !!   Blind as I am I can see the numbers !!  Want me to send you a pair of my cheaters ??  :)

Oh Mart...you made me laugh harder!  Yes it's a 39 on the front page but when she blows it up it looks like a squirrel holding a nut!
