Anyway, thanks for the kind words. The best thing is that the bookcases in 3 of the 4 photos are from family, so the price was definitely right!

So thankful that Ms. Ghopper and I had book-loving ancestors!

Skinny,, What is the large metal item perforated on the lower part ??  Looks like a Victorian heater of some sort !!  Hard to figure size of it !!

Looks like a helmet, the kind that goes with a suit of armor.

Yeah it's a helmet. Just a cheap reproduction of what's referred to as a Sugarloaf Great helm from around the thirteenth century I think

Pic must be of the side of it !!  looked more like one of the old warmer type heaters that had coals in the bottom !!  Shows what I know about armor !!
