« on: February 21, 2019, 05:50:17 pm »
Hello all. I was referred here and so far really like it! I have a lamp with little information. I cannot make out the stamp and cannot find a similar lamp anywhere! Please help me with my mystery  :)

Looks like a mid-20th century souvenir piece. I'd wager that it cost a pretty penny then as well.

Seeing the electrical cord and plug would help !!  I tend to agree with Ghopper !!  Mid century or after !!

That looks like a "replaced" plug and cord, …… thus I hafta assume that it was "rewired" for safety purposes ……. which doesn't affect its value.  :)

Glad to see you made Willis. Welcome to the forum.

Might be worth contacting Colt to see if they produced, sold or gave away such Items. The Mark makes me think of the bottom of a bullet or shotgun shell.

Try and do a rubbing of the impression on the lamp that you cannot read.  Put paper over it and with pencil or chalk rub over it to reveal the lettering.

Click on the pic of the stamp twice,, look closely and the shape looks like a bottle cap !! Ridges outside the circle !!
