I'm sure it would take no small skill to identify such an anomaly. I'll bet the selling price really paid the overhead for awhile!

Yes, I am guessing he could barely contain himself, thing is, 17th century chests are a dime a dozen in europe ( not literally but compared to american, dirt cheap), not so in USA.
Exactly, this is a case where knowledge paid off and, i am betting paid very well.
