Question of antique victorian cake cover
« on: April 24, 2006, 03:13:25 pm »
Hi, just wondered if anyone out there would have any knowledge of the value of or even the correct name of a very nice Victorian style cake cover? It is lace and depicts a sort of horse and rider battle/knight scene. It is in excellent condition and to the best of my knowledge is not a reproduction. I have heard that they are hard to fine, which makes sense since they are made of a delicate lace but I can't even find the correct term or listing that it would be under to find more information. Any value idea would also be appreciated. thanks SueM

try the term Victorian cake salver -  I assume you have only the cover and not the cake salver/stand/plate -     best wishes in your continued search, post back if you need additional info       KB
