1920's ? Tobacco Display Case
« on: May 05, 2006, 03:44:32 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to find the current value of this (1920's we think) tobacco display case

http://a.im.craigslist.org/gv/B2/L3v0IFb1f...yDfxGj7VvpB.jpg

and cannot seem to find any similar items on the internet.  I would be most appreciative if you could maybe take a look at the pic - we are taking more right now - and point me in the right direction or give me a clue as to how I might determine the value of it.  I'm not even sure of the correct name for this item.  As far as I can tell, it hung from the ceiling in a store so that the cubby hole slots were on the bottom and the glass doors were on top.  It is a very heavy piece and is made of oak.  It is in pretty good condition as well and does not appear to have ever been refinished or otherwise altered.  Thank you  in advance for any assistance you can provide in this matter and Take Care.

Its good its not English, is it Oak it looks like it but not 100%.
It looks like it came from a dispaly and was for cigars, and is South American look at the hinges.
Its a good piece value....... what could it be used for?
I would say £150
