twin galvanized buckets
« on: October 05, 2006, 11:48:31 am »
I have a pair of galvanized buckets approx 10"x10" each attached with a common handle.  Anyone know what they were made for?  They were acquired in western Nebraska and I suspect are 40 to 50 years old.

From your description, I can only surmise that they were attached to the handle so the carrier could place it on the shoulder to make it easier to carry. Or perhaps able to carry 2 on the shoulder and one in the other hand for a total of 3 at a time. Just a guess though.
