Ever seen these things?
« on: June 24, 2007, 01:17:50 pm »
Hi,

Unfortunately my Grandmother has been put into a nursing home because of dementia. She needs help with some of her expenses so I am trying to sell off items of significant value. But some of the things I don't know if they are of any value. If they are not of significant value we will keep it in the family as these things are more valuable to the family as a memoriam. Any help putting a value on this short list of items would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I will be adding things as we go through them.

Hi Ardalt while very pretty is standard for post war export porcelain from Japan.
Importers ARDALT Inc. Corp., 95 Madison AVE., New York
It was imported by the boatload and though very decorative not high enough value to be considered significant.
It was sold in stores like Grants, Kresges, 5 & Dime ect.
Most post war Japanese export porcelain suffers from a flooded market today. (auction ect).
It may be best to keep as a fond remembrance.
