Amphora Austria Vase
« on: December 21, 2007, 08:53:11 am »
I am currently having to liquidate my grandmothers estate and came across a Vase that she owned.  It is imprinted on the bottom with an Oval that has Amphora Austria written in it.  There is also a Crown and the number "3922 58".  The vase shimmers in light so it is iridized and it is 17" tall with flowers, fruit and leaves applied to the front.  Is there a way for me to find out information about this vase based on the number on the bottom?  I live in Austin, TX, is there anyone I could contact that is familiar with Amphora works?  Any information that someone could provide would be greatly appreciated because I know nothing about antiques.  A picture of the vase can be viewed here (along with other items that she has)

It is image 0949 towards the bottom of page 2.
I look forward to your replies.
