Metal Flags from Denver before WW I
« on: January 14, 2008, 08:14:26 am »
I have a collection of small metal flags that were made by Cruver Mfg, Chicago for Karl's Bread in Denver.  My Grandma got them as a promotional item with loafs of bread in Golden CO.  The bread was made by The Campbell-Sell Baking Co. for Karl's Bread Co.  The flags are about 1 1/2" in full color and represent 62 countries from the turn of the century 1800s to 1900s.  The latest date on the flags with country history info is 1910...all predate WW I.  Many of the countries no longer exist or are radically different with different country names and flags.  Where could I find more information and perhaps values.  I have tried a general google search but nothing even close.  Anything you could tell me or even point me in a direction would be most appreciated. Thanks for your time...
