My husband and I purchased a Sears Home that was built in 1912. Under our kitchen porch we have found several interesting items, including an old half-pint liquor bottle. The label reads Mendota Straight California Grape Brandy, and it was bottled for the La Perla Vineyard Company of Chicago IL. I've tried searching for information about the company but have come up empty handed. Would anyone know anything about this company, when it was around, etc? We're trying to date the bottle. Thanks!
