Help with some Old spectacles?
« on: August 01, 2008, 08:41:15 am »
Hello, i have come into the posession of a few pairs of old spectacles and could do with a valuation if anyone out there can help me? I would like to sell these but i wouldnt know where to start with prices and things although ive been told the gold ones are pretty common?

I have a pair of 9ct gold round rimless pince nez (think they are butterly ones?), a pair of 9ct gold full rimmed round spectacles and a pair of full rimmed tortoise shell spectacles with pat number 335909 and the word Nulintoc on the arm? they also have spare lenses

all the spectacles are in mint condition and have boxes, the two gold ones are from McFarlanes of Dundee and the tortoise shell ones are from Lennie & Thomson Dundee.

Any help will be much appreciated!  :-*
