« on: December 06, 2008, 08:13:39 pm »
Hi there, im rather new to the world of antiques and have recently acquired a set of dolland london binoculars, they are to be a gift for my father for Christmas and i would like to find out some information so that i may give him a small information card on them. also i paid $65 dollars AUS and was wondering if that was a fair price, they are in good condition and look some what like this pair.

After an extensive examination of thm i have uncovered 2 engravings one saying  'David Barclay from C.F.Barclay' and a second one  saying 'Hobart 1893' obviously a gift at some stage and considering i picked them up in Hobart i assume they haven't traveled that far but that is all i can see on the item itself.
