Can anyone help me identify this Silver Pot? Pics Posted
« on: December 07, 2008, 11:07:12 pm »
This is a wooden-side handled silver chocolate or coffee? pot that I have had for many years.  It was well used/loved.  On the front, in the fashion of the old wax/seal stamp on envelopes, are 2 pictures.  1 is discernable as a woman with ancient flowing garment as in Egypt and under it is "ALEXANDRIA".  On the bottom it bears:  REED & BARTON SILVER SOLDER, 066-H, 2 P, ALEXANDRIA, D.  Anyone have an idea when it was made, who it was made for...has anyone seen one like it...Thanks a million for looking!

Any idea where I can find more information on this or about R & Barton "Alexandria".  Have tried everywhere!  Also, was this generally sold to the public or for a business, hotel or US Ship?

it was primarly sold to the public.but due to the 2 pint size it could have been used for other services.
