antique furniture
« on: December 14, 2008, 05:22:15 pm »
I have two antique pieces of furniture that I am trying to find the value for. One is a cabinet about four feet tall. It is makde of Oak and Maple and has an odd pattern in a two inch row on the front......  looks like circle 4 lines, circle 4 lines, ect....
I know this is more than 25 years old, bought it at a garage sale in the early 80's. Any idea who may have manufactured it or what the pattern means???

Also have an old dresser. It is made of cedar...has two narrow drawers on the top and one very large drawer on the bottom, what makes it so unique is the marble-inlaid top. I cant find any markings as to the manufacturer on it anywhere. Just wondering if anyone knows the value or age of this antique?

Thanks

Hi cin glad decided you' decided to join us. is there anyway you can get pictures of your furniture? I would suggest your pine & marble is mid to late victorian.

Commonly known as a gentilman's chest or Bachelors chest
