Bronze Piece (Pic)
« on: January 05, 2009, 05:39:15 pm »
Have yet another piece to try and identify. It is bronze and is a display piece. It is 5"H x 7 1/2" W x 2 1/2" D.  The pic depicts an Indian with soldiers.  No markings.  This was found in the family trunk containing lots of 1700's and 1800's pieces.  Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated as well as value!

I'm just guessing but it appears to be half of a set of book-ends.  Unsigned is not the best news either.

I agree it's a book end.

I thought it was a bookend as well.  Since I posted, we found out which relative it belonged to which makes it well over 100 years old. Any historical info about the pic?  Any value at all even if it is one bookend?
