We recently acquired an old house, in the attic I found an old ukulele.
Some of the strings are gone, but other than that it is in great shape.
It is signed all over. Some of the signatures are very interesting. For instance "USN 1920"
several Navy symbols etc. One signature says USS Empire, then the words Nagasaki 1924.
Has anyone ever ran into anything like this?  ???

Perhaps a previous owner or kin served in the US Navy, circa post WWI. Your court house should have those records.

If it's of Hawaiian vintage and made by a good builder, it's probably worth some good money.  A picture or two would be nice.
