Egyptian Perfume Bottles (Cheap?)
« on: February 16, 2009, 05:58:18 pm »
I have about 30 of these "hand-made" Egyptian perfume bottles (see some in picture below).  They vary in size from about 2 inches, to a foot high.  I thought I was collecting something rare and unique for the last 10 years.

Sadly, I have noticed that they are being sold on Ebay by the thousands (rather cheaply I must say).

My research says they are really made in Egypt, but I can't figure out how they can be "hand-made" in such vast quantities?  Any ideas?

Theres lot's of factory's there turning them out by the thousand's. before the advent' of e-bay and other on line sources they were considered rare.

primarly bought by tourist and brought back to the u.s.a.
