Paragon Tea Cup & Saucer (Very Different)!
« on: March 01, 2009, 06:06:42 pm »
I just bought this Paragon tea cup and saucer at a collector's show in town.  It was so different I just had to buy it.  However, I can't find anything similiar in my research.  I think the mark on the back is from the 1950's, but any patterns I have come across from that era are nothing like this one.

I also bought another Paragon tea cup (maybe from the early 50's) but the difference in weight between the two of them is strange.  The piece below is a lot heavier (but the "ringing" sound is more distinct").  The other one I bought is very light and fragile, almost see-through.

Does anyone know anything about the era of this cup, or why the bizaare art work, which is so different than the normal "flower" tea cups?

Thanks.

I have to admit....I have never seen this one before!  It looks like Mardi Gras!  Very beautiful and colorful.  Paragon has so many patterns that have still yet to be identified!
