My grandmother passed away recently, and my father gave me this bowl that was given to my grandfather was very young. It is old, and I am trying to begin my research.
The bowl is ceramic with copper plated sections on the inside. In the bottom of the bowl is a picture of a buck standing on what appears to be a mountain or mountain peak.
The only marking on the bowl is on the bottom, which is "159."
There are two raised rectangles on the bottom of the bowl, but I am not sure what significance that has.
I am not interested in selling it, but I would like to know where to even begin my search in learning more about it. It was reportedly something that belonged to my great-great grandparents, so this must be at least 100-150 years old?
Can anyone help?
