Info needed on Antique Lunch Box
« on: March 24, 2009, 09:46:18 pm »
I have recently acquired an Antique Lunch Box.  I have not been able to find much info on it.  I have attached a picture.  On the bottom it says "A Product of The American Thermos Bottle Co. Norwich, Conn, U.S.A."  Any information on this lunch box including value, would be very much appreciated.

Not familiar with that particular box. Looks to be generic characters. American Thermos became King Seeley Thermos after 1959 and the dome box came out around 1957. That helps date your box.

I am not familiar with this one either....you might try your local library or large book store....they sell collector books (that you can peek at!).

Here's a site that lists most companies that produced metal lunch boxes...you could probably contact them!
www.lunchboxcollector.com/makers.html

It looks in great shape!  Bet there is a collector out there that would love it!
