i would like anyones input on the acme chest co. of south bend indiana..i have cedar chest that is 95 percent and looking for history of the co.   also value...thank you...george

The Acme Cedar Chest Company of South Bend Indiana was founded by Edgar Burner in early 1900's.  The plant burned down on July 4th 1916 because of fireworks!

I don't know what you mean that you have a cedar chest that is 95%.   95% there?  95% missing?   :)

I'm assuming 100% is mint while 95% would have some slight scuffs and scratches.   ???

Looking at the photo, it's been refinished, right? So when you said 95%, were saying it has 95% of its history intact?
