Old Blanket
« on: August 04, 2009, 11:23:26 am »
My father was a chauffeur back around 1934 i have a blanket made out of some kind of fur.  this was used as a blanket to keep his clients warm.  Do you have any idea if it is of any value.  IT IS IN PERFECT CONDITION,

Well, it would depend upon the fur, although I don't think fur has the kind of popularity that it once did. These days people really frown on it being worn. Can you post a photo? My guess is it is a lap throw, that would go over a lady's lap in the car.

My guess it's horsehair and also a lap blanket.  Animal blankets such as buffalo robes were out of style long before 1934.
