Japan Saki Cups

With some japanese items coming up for discussion recently,  thought I'd post this set of 6 saki cups to maybe hear if the lack of the 'Made In' logo means anything on them.
Are these collectible at all or just junk and are they pre or post 1921? I'm still not exactly clear on dating  stuff without the 'Made In' logo especially from Japan.

   Wouldn't think they are junk.  Just not overly valuable.  I would say you are looking at post 70's saki cups.  This however is just a guess and worth about 10 to 15 bucks.  Would have to look deeper into the hallmarks to be sure.  They are wonderful looking, and have some collectability.  Espically with the crane, which seems to be something alot ohh and ahh over in the Asian themes.  Heck you may even get 20 bucks for the set since it has a box.

If it is anything like the teacups...probably painted in gold leaf.

See where you would see a similarity KC, I do too.

Under generic Kutani it looks like this mark is the A-1, A-2, or C-2 (my guess at least).

How do you come up with this stuff. Great work & thanks.

Any idea if it can be dated by this marking or how long it was in use for?

Sorry, can't find anymore than that!  I can't even say it is Kutani...but they are the only ones who just use these marks.  These marks are found on many others....but with other lettering.

I know a set like this would sell for $20 - $30 easy....but without more information can't say more.

Hopefully someone can pipe in.

Appreciate you finding what you did KC. Looked like pertinent information and right on.
The cups do seem to have some gold coloring going on but I don't know how to tell if it's gold leaf.
There is some slight variances on the cranes and in the makers mark from cup to cup.
At least I have the word Kutani to go on and for some type of decription now.Thanks for that.

I go along with the Kutani i.d. 100% .

It's an unknown Kutani mark to me (because of the 'japan' included in/on it) , however .

I'd be curious to know if they are 100% hand-painted , though .

I also think it looks like Kutani too Fancypants.

After KC got me the name I looked around some, and found this link that makes it look like this might be right.

Two things that seemed to be a characteristic on this maker is bird motif's and red maker marks.

That together with the markings that are very similar have me believing, at least for now, that this might be the manufacturer.
Now to try and date it.
