Buick Oil Info
« on: October 19, 2009, 12:06:49 pm »
Looking for information on a metal can of Buick Factory Engineered Parts, 1 Qt special buick oil for automatic transmissions. Thinking 1920-1940 on age. I googled this product and can find no information on others on the internet. I have been looking and saw some of these rare oils in metal cans selling for over $1000. Any idea if this is one of those rare cans? Thanks for the input in advance!

Got through about 7 pages and didn't find your Buick oil, just a lot of 'oil company' products  ;)

Not 100% for sure on age of your item , but am pretty darn sure it's not the 1920-1940's vintage you mentioned .

My guess is 1960-1970's .

I agree with fancy.......the typestyle/fonts/colors all appear 1960-70.

I'd say it's very safe to put this auto-tranny fluid into a 60's-70's vintage Buick (provided it's free of rust on the inside) .

Nice little survivor of the era , barryrhodejr .
