Does anyone have any ideas about this?
It belonged to my father. My guess is that it is German (?). It is hand carved wood and painted.
The peices on the side look like they were used to put candles on?

Such a belautiful piece...too bad that it has damage to it.  Still nice tho'.

Why would you guess German?
