Who is this?

I bought this statue at an antique shop in 1978.  The lady in the shop showed me a picture of it in a book of some sort when i purchased it.  Regretfully, i didnt write down the info on it.  If anyone out there could let me know who the statue is of i would greatly appreciate it.  I believe it is bronze and there is a marking on the bottom center of it that appears to be a makers mark of some sort. Can you please post a picture of the makers mark.  If you cannot get a clear one, can you do a rubbing on paper and post it...or attempt to draw it out?

Here is another picture,  its really a very small faint mark.  It could be a mark from where it was cast.  Its not raised or anything so i cant do a rubbing.  Thanks again.

If you have a macro setting on your camera, you should be able to get a clear close up of the mark within a couple of inches from the lens.

If no macro, try cropping just the mark and then resizing it to a larger resolution.

Very much appears , to me , to be the Hindu god Indra (king of heaven / god of rain) .

Thank you, i do believe this is Indra.  I am posting another picture that i have cropped and hope that the mark might make sense to someone.  Does anyone have any idea on the value?

Could you possibly describe the dimentions (& maybe the weight) of your item , mrlat ?

Its roughly 7''X5''X4'' and weighs about 5lbs.
