By the way, "Rockwarts Gang" should actually read "Rückwärts" (reverse), "2. Gang" (2nd gear) etc. as those are the instructions for the different (speed) settings.

Wow....almost speechless....wow!

What an amazing find!  Hope you hold on to this!  It will only continue to rise in value!!!!

Highly recomment that whatever you know of your grandfathers/family's history with this that you document it.  In addition, any information you currently find on this...print it and keep it with the items -  for you/your family.

For sure .. I have all of his army information ... I also have his purple heart and several other medals .. bronze or silver star is the other one .. I have to go thru other stuff. I also found out yesterday that my Aunt has even more toys like this one at her place in Dallas .. Im going to get her to send me pics as well to share with everyone. thanks again guys

 Thanks Chris for the stop over. I do believe Rockwart is written in french in this case. which would make us believe it's french rather then German.
