babe ruth baseball bat ?

is this worth anything at all? its 34'' at the length I know babe ruth was 35-36 length

J C Higgins was the brand of bat sold by Sear & Roebuck & Co from 1908-1961.  Interestingly enough, the bats were made by Hillerich & Bradsby Co but had to be made/sold under the JCHiggins name at Sears.  J  Higgins was the Bookkeeping Manager of Sears/Main Office and an avid sports enthusiast and the line was named after him - because he didn't have a middle name they added the initial C.

Also, Western bat company made bats for Sears under the same name during this time.


1741 Was the bat for Joe DiMaggio from what I have found.

Sears sold a wide variety of sporting goods and recreational equipment, including bicycles, firearms, baseball bats, etc, under the J.C.Higgins. It's likely that all of that stuff was manufactured by other companies under contract with Sears, just like many of Sears products are manufactured today.
