I have a very old violin that has been in its case for many decades. The case is worn-looking, but the violin is gorgeous. Has never been played in my almost 60 years. Before that, I don't know...
The only name I can find on it is "Dresden." It came down the family line from well-to-do ancestors who were from a family in England. The last one who died would be about 140 yrs. old now.
Any guesses as to what this violin's history might be or how much it's worth? I know Dresden was destroyed in WWII, so it has to be older than that, I believe.
Thanks,
A Newbie here...
