New and Looking for assistance (Maybe Austin Anderson table)
« on: April 06, 2010, 01:10:20 am »
Hi. I hope I'm doing this request right. This table came from a friend of the family who passed away so I can't ask the previous owner any questions. The only mark I can find is an "A A" stamped on the bottom of the drawer. I know that Austin Anderson was a founder of the Elite Furniture Company and he worked around before that. I also know that Elite built similar tables (I still haven't found one with the same carvings) and the time period seems right so that leads me to believe it may have been Anderson's work. I checked with A A Laun to be safe and they said it was not one of their tables. So I'm hoping to find a little help on the manufacturer and maybe the value. Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome winffup!

I'm not up on manufacturers like others here, but will take a boo around to see what I can find
image wise for comparison.

Just the start of the search came up with this one.........stated as an Elite table.

these tables are known as ''Swing leg tables'' because they have stretchers. condition is and issue. along with the quality of the wood. $150.00 to $200.00 dollars.
