Selling china???
« on: April 29, 2010, 08:05:56 pm »
I am trying to sell some china. I have over 50 or 60 pieces i would like to sell. I would rather not try and sell them individually and keep the sets together. Where can i sell them? Is there anywhere other than ebay or craigslist?

thanks.

Selling sets of china I would think would be best at a consignment store, or Antique mall if you are in a large city.  Other then that I would say you have a challange.  What kind of china sets do you have?  Are they maybe good enough for a Auction house?   Ebay would have the traffic but the shipping would be a nightmare. Craigslist would be slow to get hits and then you have strangers coming over looking for a cheap deal, and glassware buyers are really picky and would try and talk you down if it had a chip. then they would probably just try and split the set for money.  Consignment and Antique mall would be most likey to find a good home for a set.

I'm with ironlord1963s' advice .

If it's the 'Masons Vista' & 'Woods Ware' you'd posted here , perhaps you can find a website/forum for collectors of this specific type (that also have a free 'for sale' section) .

regular joe,

It is the masons vista and woods ware sets. I also found some more peices, along with some milk glass pieces.

thanks for the tips.
