16pce gold cutlery teaset - real or not? Worth?
« on: July 08, 2010, 07:53:48 pm »
This cutlery set was bought in Germany in early 70s and is 40 years old.  It has not been used and is still in it's box in excellent condition.  I am curious about it.  Any ideas anyone, please? Can it be gold?  Make my dreams come true or let me have a good laugh about my in-laws!!

I would cancel the Ferrari, Its gold plated.
Gold is to soft a metal & also would be to expensive. Dont be tempted to rub or scratch it to find out as this will devalue the set. Its not going to be of great value although would have been expensive at the time, i would use it.
Let us have details of maker or marks & we can be more precise
