Old sofa, Victorian?
« on: July 16, 2010, 04:02:21 pm »
I'm looking for some information of a couch that my sister has. She's curious to know what the value would be, out of curiosity and  insurance purposes. I'm guessing it's Victorian, from some of the pictures I've found, and oddly enough, looks like it has the original upholstery under the recovering, both on the cushions and the couch itself. However, I could be completely off, as I have no idea on furniture. It does appear to have had a leg broken or cracked, as seen in the picture of the right leg (or sofa's left). Again, any help is appreciated!

The style is Queen Ann. late 1930's early 1940's. $ 350.00 to$ 500.00 Dollars.

I'm with D&b on this one .

It's kinda cool (not real unusual , though) that covers were made for the cushions & the original fabric is still underneath .

Hey D&b .... one more posting & you'll be in the 2k club with KC !!!
