That is awesome!! Lucky! Wish I could find stuff like that here. I need a metal detector. But I wouldn't find somethin' that old around here. Amazing find Jimmy.

I was wondering the same thing! I'm assuming it's missing the little loop? Or was somehow tied? But I have no experience with this stuff!

I believe this type is called a palstave axe. Am I wrong? There are also palstaves with no loop.

hi the one i found is a  axe is of the earlier palstave type (Acton Park phase) without side loops. the date is
Circa 1500 BC - 1300 BC so its around 3000 years old! :)

im not to sure how it went on a handle but some people said it might of not been made for use but for trade as back then 3000 years ago theses sort of things where like £$100,000 cash in your hands now :)
