I have several pieces of a tea set with the mark "Davenport."  The set includes several sizes of teacups and saucers, a teapot, creamer, cereal bowl and sugar bowl.  I would like to know the value of it.  I also have several other cups and saucers marked with a crowned "N", "Royal Chelsea", "Foley",  and "Victoria Carlsbad".  Can anyone provide me with the history of these items and their worth.

Oh, I was afraid of this - I answered hours ago, and server crashed - my answer never made it  ---

Okay, I want to personally take one item at a time - start with the crowned N - this may well be the famous Capodimonte mark - but I have to tell you it has been copied, and not necessarily with intent to deceive - 150 years ago, if something was successful, other companies were free to use the logo to sell there wares - little or no consequence - makes it hard, doesn't it for us 21st century researchers.  LOL

So here's a couple of sites, check for your mark:

check mark 1145 on that one above

AND, Royal Rudolstadt used a crowned N.  (also Germany)   KB

Based on web searches past and present, a very good condition cup and saucer, no chips etc., might range from $25 - $40.  KB
