Very Rare Minerva Owen Swastika China Gold Medal St Louis (mystery)

I have some antique china pieces with a picture of a lady of royalty with swastikas and flowers on both sides of her. Any information of the history and worth would be appreciated.  I have learned that the pattern discription is "Women in Horsehoe Floral" by Edward J Owen China.  (Pattern #OWE14) Thanks for all of your help.

I think this may be "Queen Anne Lady Luck" pottery .

Could you post an image of the hallmark on the bottom of your item(s) ?

Definitely Edward J Owens china mark of Minerva, Ohio  (1902 - 1932)!

In 1906 they did have a line called the Swastika Keramos line that was made until 1908 (but it was floral work that resembles Roseville pottery) - the company was forced to close due to the depression in 1932.

The interesting tidbit was that in Edward J Owen managed several pottery producers in Minerva:  organized 1894 East End Pottery, 1902 founded Owen China Company, Paden City Pottery, 1910 managed Clinchfield Pottery (which was under reorganization by Southern Potteries Inc.).

I have looked out on a china replacement website.  I found a picture of one of the plates, but no pieces were available.  Is there anyone out there that can give me an idea of the value or where I can possibly find information.  Help!!!

Many people associate the origin of the Swastika motif with Nazi Germany ..... but all the Nazis done was to render it non-PC.

Now I knew it had been in use for a long time because it has been found on Native American pottery, etc.

But I didn't know it had been in use this long until I just Googled it, to wit:

It is also a sacred Buddhist symbol meaning life or something similar I believe. In India it is not uncommon to see it on the hands, feet, heads, etc of statues. However, it is a reversed Swastika, Hitler flipped the symbol of life to one world-renown now for death.

My mother found a pc exactly the same as posted here, interesting.  Hers however has CLINCHFIELD SPI CHINA 4-26 on it, I'll post some pics...  Oddly enough, we too are in St. Lou!
