I have a complete set of Limoges porcelian dishes left to me from a great grandmother. I have searched the web looking of this design and wondering if someone could help me. The plates and Platers are all scaloped and trimed in gold on the edges. Just inside the edge of the dishes are tiny pink roses and green leaves, almost like a chain all the way around and then nothing in the center. Stamped on the bottom is OCCO Limoges Porcelian. If any one can help me, it would be much appreciated....

Sounds like it is the first one, 1896 - 1902.

I went to the www.replacements.co m site, and there were only 4 patterns listed, none of which were yours, so here's a suggestion: pick the one that has some prices listed, and try to interpret from there. Or you can go to Limoges, American on the same web site. Now, AMERICAN LIMOGES is not the same as Limoges made in America by Ohio China Co Limoges. But, maybe you can find a pretty, old fashioned shape decorated with roses, and kind of again, ballpark your set. Prices on replacement site are just that - high retail replacement, and for insurance purposes I think they will work.

Gee! KB, I'm impressed.........N ow I have another one for you.

I have two hand painted plates handed down to me from my Mother. On the back is a tent looking mark with a crown in the center and at the top are the initials P K and at the bottom is Silesia, it is also scalloped on the edges with gold trim and flowers. The flowers are not roses and are different shades of pink and of course green leaves.

I want to tell everyone to insure all antiques........... ..My house burned down five years ago and it was full of antiques. Needless to say, I am not much of a collector now as I was so disappointed!

If your plates are more the decorative type, like "cabinet plates" for display, I personally would place value higher, at least $40 - $50 each in an antiques store. KB
