Japanese Brass Age?
« on: February 26, 2011, 10:53:19 am »
These 3 pieces were brought back after WW2 from Japan( what previous owner says but not sure of date made )
First 2 have no makers mark but have nice etchings. The cup? is inscribed but obviously I cannot read it.
Wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how old they may be and what they are used for. thnx for looking.

Nothing on bottom ?? Can`t imagine anyone in Japan turning out something so crudely done. They usually have finely executed handwork. If it was after WW2 it should have a mark somewhere.

Just sent pics on to my Korean friends!  HOpe to hear back soon!

Not sure how much they will be able to make out of the last pic....so much glare and all aren't readable!  But...we will see!
