Figurines message borad - any good ones?
« on: September 12, 2011, 01:08:17 pm »
I have some questions which fall under figurines rather than Antiques. I have searched for a good forum/message board for collectible figurines, but cannot locate one that has any traffic. Does anyone know of  one?

The reason I need to find one is that I have bought some really interesting pieces from the godson of one of the prominent artists from Royal Doulton. These pieces are expensive and sought after in Europe, but there seems to be no following that I can find in North America. The pieces are by Kevin Francis Ceramics and Peggy Davies. I believe the Kevin Francis piece is one of the first ones they ever made. Not an antique, but if I can sell it, I will try!

Okay,
I wll add some pics, maybe someone can help.

First is called Vic Schuler. Came from Kevin Francis Ceramics. Believe it was their first figurine, made in 1988. Seems to have a following in England, but nothing in North America.

Second is Peggy Davies, figurine is Delores. Same thing, one of her first, popular in England, nothing here.

Third is Peggy Davies , Ladies of the Stage - FAnny Kemble

Thanks for all the info! Guess I have some pieces that need to be sold in England! Oh well, they will gain interest over here eventually. Not in a rush to move them, so I will get to enjoy them for a year or so. At least they do not take up a lot of space!
