Murphy Chair, Model 4413 value?
« on: July 16, 2011, 08:32:56 pm »
We are down sizing and wanting to sell an antique Murphy desk chair.  probably on Craig's List.  Any suggestions for a reasonable asking price and other sales venues near Austin, TX?

Looks like you've gone ahead and advertised it for $275, which seems to be somewhere in the middle of the few that I've found for sale, but they tended to have arms. Good luck with the sale  ;)

Looks like your standard, run-of-the-mill, oak office chair except for the label. I am not sure how much value the label adds but regular office chairs like that go for less than $50 in my area (Wisconsin).

Good luck in this buyers market.

Without even looking at the pic, and I am in Texas, unless its a rare exceptional chair, they are under $50. here too !! Run of the mill oak chairs irregardless of who made them are almost impossible to sell. Rather hard to give away too !! Guess I had better look at this one !!
