Is anyone familiar with any of these antiques?

I found a few items at some yard sales I did this past weekend.  Really curious if anyone has any idea about what these are.  I think one of these is a purse but it looks very vintage or antique.  The other two are perfume bottles that may have gold caps.  One of the botles has some engravings along the rim of the cap on the outside (looks like letters "CN" and not sure about the others, very small).  I know i should probably gold test the perfume bottles.
Any info is helpful.

The two bottles look like antique perfume bottles. Not sure of the age, I'm kinda out of my area here.

Your perfume bottles in my opinion are English made around mid to late 1800s In this market maybe $200.00 each if you could put a maker with your pieces the value could jump  $500.00 - $1,000.00 such as Stuart & sons  of London did this kind of work in that era. I believe your other piece is not a purse but  could possibly be an enameled perfume bottle case. Again placing a maker to this piece is key as to value.

Defintely, Thanks Wendy.  How do I figure out the maker?  I have been trying to figur out what the engraving on the perfume bottles say.  My camera isnt good enough to capture the tiny print but I will try my scanner tonight  and see if that can help.  I sincerely appreciate the advice

If you have engraving on those bottles, I would use a jewelers loupe to magnify what is engraved so you can see what they say.

Your welcome ~  Try going over all your  pieces carefully with a jewelers loupe and try to draw the markings if they are to small to photograph. The only way to tell the makers are to track the marks or find cataloged proof of each bottle in old records or antique perfume bottle books.  Sorry Wayward did not read your reply before I posted

Pay particular attention to the silver band around the top of the vials.  If you're like me (loupeless  ) angle it in good light in front of a window, using a magnifying glass.....you can photograph it right through the glass.

So I was able to figure out the markings or hallmarks on the larger gilded perfume bottle were as follows: The Letters "CN", a horizontal anchor, The Letter "S", and finally the lion passant.  I know the last one should mean sterling silver but anyone have any ideas about the others?  And also would the purse be considered cloisonne?

You said the anchor is horizontal?  Not vertical?

And anchor/S/lion in that order?

Also, are the initials CN or C&N ?


An anchor (vertical) and lion would be Birmingham and there is a maker C&N Chrisford & Norris
