I'm going through, and doing some major cleaning....going through boxes that haven't been opened in many years. I found this bowl. There are no marks on this bowl to identify the maker, and I don't know what type of glass, or pattern this would be. And if someone could place an aprox value on it that would be appreciated too  ;D

Looking down into the bowl:

I had to go look around a bit on this one, but came up dry again.  I had one just like this a year or so ago, I tried to sell on ebay and not so much as a looker, and ended up selling at a yard sale, for I think was about a dollar, shortly after I found the maker, and kicked myself a bit, but all that information has since leaked out of my ears I guess.  What I can tell you these are pressed glass, and Glazed painted, not true color glass, the one I had, had some spots were the glaze paint was coming off.  Basically you have a pressed Glass Pattern Glass Bowl.  It has a old EAPG pattern look about it, but most likely made in the last 25 years or so.  As for value, as far as i can tell not worth much low $.00.

Thanks a lot Ironlord! That is a step in a forward direction. I understand the information leakage, I get that, and i think my grandma may have too...lol. She swears it is as old as the hills. I had my doubts, but I couldn't stop her from telling the story when she seen it  ;D She said she got it from a friend, and her friend got it from a even older family member of the friend who had got it inherited it from an uncle....or something like that. Doesn't hurt to ask though, she wanted me to ebay it, if it were worth anything.

Thanks again....appreciate the help!!

I think my problem with trying to Ebay mine is not quite Amberlina in color, Glazed Faux Color glass, and unknown maker makes it hard to sell, on top of it is mixed in with the 20 thousand other Serving Bowls.

I was waiting for IL to chime in before I muddied up the works. I cant add anything other than my gma had one or two also - in an orange color (think Viking glass orange tone). She probably got hers in the late 60's or very early 70's.

I think it's very pretty but I'm a sucker for orange  ;D

There are three different types of this glass all made late 60`s and 70`s !!  One was a better quality and is now being collected that is similar to the old Carnival glass and then there is the glass that is similar to pattern glass, made in red, green, orange and amber that is slightly shaded in color,, and the glass that Ironlord was talking about that the color literally peels off ! Not sure but some of it was made by Imperial, if I remember correctly !! Most all of it was sold by lower end department stores !! Value on the carnival type is picking up, shaded type,,$10.00 or less,, last type,, can`t give it away !!
