Age and Value of Hand Painted Vase?
« on: September 05, 2011, 08:35:45 am »
I am trying to find out the age and value of this hand painted vase I purchased for $4.00 at the thrift store. I have not found it in searches online. It is about 10 1/2 inches tall, 5 3/4 inches wide at the top and 4 3/4 inches wide at the base.

I would also like to know when it was made (I was thinking maybe 1970s but could be newer). I know the work was modeled on or inspired by 17th Century work (SEC XVII). I think the vase is in near mint to mint condition and has some of what I would consider normal crazing to it. The vase color is a lighter blue than what is shown in the images below.

The bottom reads: 127 - Real Ceramica - Hand Painted - SEC XVII - Coimbra - Made in Portugal - Laura WCAS (artist)

Thanks,
Kevin
