Just a quick seach on what is being sold on ebay will show that a couple of early Century ones did sell in the 300.00, found a couple made in mexico for under 10.00.  Fist misconception in antique and collectible world is rare, does not always mean $$$, same with Old, you do proably have something rare or hard to find, but not rare and old.  I would also agree that $30.00 would be the value on a good day, I have sold a few old bottle in the past few years, and had some late 1800's one's go for around that.  Antiques in general usually cost less then new anyway, we are not here to discourage you in any way, and most of us have learned these lessons already.  If the item was given to you and you can sell it for $30.00, then your profit is great, when it get tricky is when you spend $20.00 and then find it is worth $30.00.

When I say that painted labels are collectible, I didin't say value. I have a some painted labels and some are a lot older then yours and sad to say they are not that valuable.
