Cool little items , IMO .
I think that these are designed to be used on stove-top or in ovens , as 'double-boilers' (sitting on/in another pan) & for braising & C-food stews & such .
....Also looks like it would make a fine (large & round) loaf of rustic french bread !
The indentations serve as "stand-offs" , to keep the majority of the pans' bottom from direct heat contact .
That's my best thoughts on these pans .
My guess , in the event that these really don't bear any manf. marks , would be of French/European origin .
Nice rustic items , mmm7303 .
Considering the shape they're in , in my house I'd give 'em a hot soapy wash & warm dry , then a coat of mineral oil , rubbed & wiped well .
If you intend to use them , IMO , they should be 'deep-cleaned' & re-tinned , so as not to poison anyone !
