IDENITIIFING ART WORK
« on: August 14, 2004, 07:54:04 am »
I have a painting that has a brass plate below picture on frame stating "Chess Game" it is signed F Beda in lower right hand corner. I know the picture is over 75 years old but I am not an art person so I do not know how to tell anything about the painting. What do I look for to tell if this art work is valuable? How do you tell if it is oil, canvas, etc? The painting is framed and in original frame measuring 32 x 46.     Any information will be helpful. Thanks

if it's and original, it's worth $400.00 dolllars.
